This is our second self-build project within a period of 13 months. A more ambitious build due to the topography of land. Having said that, we are confident it will be an attractive build with a great view, that will make it all worth while.

After 10 months of battling the planners and neighbours, we finally started mid September 2007. Only four objectors, with a total of 27 objections, a classic case of NIMBYism if ever we have encountered one. From bats, badgers, newts, mice, slow worms, too big, too overbearing, privacy issues, not in keeping with the surrounding area, and that the house should have a number not a name. To name a few!

We do not have a time frame for the build, just ASAP. I am sure it will have taken us longer to get started, than it will take us to build.
